You don't get overwhelmed with a lot of data and know how to communicate with professionals from different levels. Since you will be working with data, we are looking for someone who is analytically strong and has a strong attention to details . Hereby it is important that you can transfer these analyses to your colleagues.

  • You have a HBO or WO degree;
  • You have an excellent command of the English language;
  • You have experience with data management and data deliveries;
  • You have a proactive attitude and posses excellent communication skills;
  • You are in the possession of knowledge about the publishing processes and workflows;

As the reporting and data associate, you will be responsible for a good flow of the process.
You will be assigned not only, but at least the following tasks:

  • Support the Head of Reporting and Data Management with the data deliveries and updating the Annual Journal Reports self-service tool - containing data for the company's ~3000 journals
  • Support the Head of Reporting and Data Management with the Annual Journal Review (a.o. working in a team to prepare the Annual Journals Catalog).
  • Working with the company's Product & Platform Group and Marketing, to facilitate the display of individual journal’s metrics on ~3000 journal homepages
  • Accessing various sources, prepare metadata files for use in internal reporting (Annual Journals Reports) and tools/dashboards. This may include accessing complex data sources
  • Collaborate with Editorial teams on the registration of journals with COPE - and keeping an eye on policy requirements
  • Work together with the Head of Reporting and Data Management on (internal) journal master files for use by a.o. Publishing and Sales.
  • Engage in the continuous optimization of journal metadata (quality assurance, data clean-up activities and validation), in collaboration with other teams and departments
