As Export Operations Specialist you will be responsible to ensure that every export order received from the Distributors in the EMEA export countries, served from Netherlands-based operation, is fulfilled flawlessly and in compliance with all the trade regulations and customer requirements.

In this position you are responsible for gathering all documentation that needs to accompany each shipment. Responsible for communicating with the distributor and to solve any issue that may arise in the export/import process which may be responsible.

Qualifications / Here’s what we’ll need from you / Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience is required with export countries
  • Ability to understand business processes and commercial needs to drive decision-making
  • Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint skills are required, experience in Salesforce.com and SAP are a plus
  • Experience in medical devices, or the Healthcare field is preferred
  • Leadership, collaboration, communication and analytical skills, ability to work on multiple projects with competitive deadlines is required
  • Demonstrated success in creative problem solving and team partnership, excellent verbal and written presentation skills are required
  • Strong English communication skills additional languages (e.g. Arabic) are an advantage

For the Export Countries, Responsibilities include:

  • Track/Enter export orders and ensure timely fulfillment
  • Gather all required documentation for each shipment from the different sources and deliver to concerned third party logistics
  • Liaise with Trade Compliance to understand all the necessary requirements for each market, escalate to Trade Compliance when issues that arise in the process
  • Maintain databases of standard documentation (Certificates of origin, etc), maintain management information on the status of Export orders
  • Reach out to the different departments (Quality, Sourcing, Finance) to obtain the required documentation
  • Communicate with Distributors’ import departments when required to resolve possible documentation issues
  • Assist other departments with process/compliance questions that may arise during the import process
  • Collaborate with various departments (sourcing, supply chain, data integrity, regulatory affairs, planning and transportation) on cross activities and promote process optimization.
