For the Bacterial Vaccines Department we are looking for a Assistant Scientist
The Bacterial Vaccines department focuses on the research and development of vaccines against infectious diseases. Within the Bacterial Vaccines department, the preclinical immunology group evaluates the immunogenicity and efficacy of potential vaccine candidates against infectious diseases in animal models. The main focus of the group is to conduct proof of concept studies and to generate appropriate scientific data that enable our vaccine candidates to progress towards clinical phase evaluation.
We are looking for a motivated Assistant Scientist that will be involved in studies to evaluate the immunogenicity and efficacy of vaccine candidates. The candidate will work mainly with immunological and microbiological techniques and will be responsible for the performance of assays, analysis of results and data reporting. Good skill in documentation, evaluating and reporting results are required.
Work will be performed under supervision of a Scientist. Work will be performed under BSL2 (vaccination may be required).
• Bachelor or Master degree (BSc/MSc) in a relevant discipline such as biology, life sciences, or related fields or HLO.
• Previous experience working with microbiological and/or immunological methods (e.g. cell culture, bacterial culture, ELISA, FACS, bactericidal and phagocytic assays, western-blotting, multiplex assays) is preferable.
• Previous experience in a pharmaceutical environment is preferred.

They are capable of planning, organizing and executing their own work independently. Fluency in English, both verbally and written, is an absolute requirement.
